Massive Thief drummer James Krivchenia simply flexed on everybody by conceptualizing and producing Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, the band’s outstanding new double album. So the time is true to roll out a brand new solo LP, and Krivchenia handily has one on deck. It’s an experimental effort referred to as Blood Karaoke, and if (like me) you’re not acquainted with Krivchenia’s music outdoors Massive Thief, it could shock you.

He describes the creation of the album like so: “It was a really iterative, lengthy course of. A number of enhancing and placing collectively little moments or 10 second chunks with plenty of samples. The music was conceived to be a considerably unbroken 40 minute lengthy composition and I consider the singles as excerpts.” Our first excerpt, opening observe “Emissaries Of Creation,” rapidly strikes previous its cinematic metallic intro and into nervy, hyperactive techno.
