It’s not all gloom and Darkness as Africa was nicely represented on this yr’s version of the Grammy Awards. South African DJ and music producer Nkosinathi Maphumulo, popularly often known as DJ Black Espresso, gained his first-ever Grammy Award within the class Greatest Dance/Digital Album for his album ‘Subconsciously’.
Black Espresso’s win makes him the primary African to ever win the Dance/Electronica class. He is also the First African DJ to Win A Grammy Award.
In his acceptance speech, Black Espresso appreciated his crew alongside everybody who labored on the album and his followers.
“I need to thank God for the present of music and with the ability to share it with the world and heal souls and assist individuals undergo no matter they’re going via in life,” he stated. “I need to thank my followers everywhere in the world and individuals who observe what I do, thanks a lot for believing in me. I need to thank my household and my kids.”
