In 2021, Pooh Shiesty had one of the biggest breakout years, in hip-hop. His “Back In Blood” single ft. Lil Durk exploded, and peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It went on to go 2x platinum in the US, and appeared on his debut “Shiesty Season” mixtape. That project went on to debut at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart.
Shiesty has ran into more legal issues since last Memorial Day though, as he accidentally shot a security guard, while at the King of Diamonds strip club, in Miami. In October 2020, Shiesty also ended up shooting a man in the Miami area, after a sneaker deal gone wrong.
Shiesty is currently facing eight years in prison. A life sentence was originally on the table, but a plea deal got the proposed eight years. This came after pleading guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge. Now, the 1017 artist’s bond, has been denied again. Shiesty’s trial is set for April 4 .
Shiesty’s bond was denied by a Florida judge, as other charges being faced, are conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. His attorneys went on to request a $10 million, 10% cash bond. They maintained that the Memphis native isn’t a danger to society, but to no avail.
