In August 2021, Kanye West finally delivered his highly anticipated 10th studio album, “Donda.” That went on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and was Ye’s 10th consecutive number one album. It was led by hits such as “Off The Grid,” ft. Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign and “Hurricane,” ft. Lil Baby and The Weeknd.
Now, it looks like Ye is already preparing a sequel for Donda. According to Complex, music exec Steven Victor has confirmed that Kanye is already in the process of recording this album.
Victor even went on to praise this project, by labeling Donda 2 a “masterpiece.” The first Donda definitely had an interesting rollout, as Kanye had three album listening events in Atlanta and Chicago. Two were held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and the final at Soldier Field, in Chicago.
Donda has since gone gold in the US. For its sequel, there is still no official release date revealed yet.
